Riderz Ragz Inc. is the proud designer of the Original BackRider® Belt child riding belt motorcycle harness. This device has been referred to as many names such as a child riding harness or child rider harness, kid harness, motorcycle passenger harness, pillion harness or pillion rider harness and even a kid carrier or kid harness but whatever the name people prefer to call it, we called ours the BackRider® Belt because it is a childs riding belt harness for the motorcycle child passenger or pillion rider on the back.
The BackRider® Belt is a 5 point riding harness that makes recreational riding with you children on Motorcycles, Snowmobiles, ATVs and horseback a family riding experience. It has been enjoyed by riders from Canada, the United States and countries from around the world.
There may have been others who have tried to design something like this but we feel that we have designed a whole new child motorcycle passenger riding harness type belt that has many exceptional features incorporated into it.
The BackRider® Belt was designed by our parent company Riderz Ragz Inc. in part from the accumulated feedback that we received from our many customers over the years as we truly care what our customers have to say.
The idea of our Patented BackRider® Belt design was derived from a similar product that used to be on the market that was called The Child Riding Belt.
Here is a little history on the Child Riding Belt Harness and how the BackRider® Belt was developed.
The Child Riding Belt was designed by Ivan Doc Holiday Arsenault who was nominated for an Honorary Ph. D. from the University of Alberta, Canada, in recognition of his creation of the CRV Riding Belt and its contribution toward the rehabilitation of paraplegic children. Ivan Doc Holiday Arsenault is also well known for having written a screenplay of Roadhouse Legacy, based on the movie that had Patrick Dalton Swayze who starred in the famous Biker Bouncer movie called Roadhouse. Ivan Doc Holiday Arsenault who now lives & rides in Daytona Beach Florida, gave his permission to make and sell the Child Riding Belt in 1988 to an Edmonton, Alberta, Canada based company, childridingbelt.com who distributed the the Child Riding Belts, but they have since closed their business and no longer sell them anymore. Now our Canadian Patented BackRider® Belt is the only child riding belt type product of its kind available on the market.
That Child Riding Belt worked pretty good but Brian Muller the Director of Operations here at Riderz Ragz Inc saw that it could be improved upon considerably and he also felt that the product should go through a professional product evaluation test and thus the Canadian Designed BackRider® Belt was born and then successfully Patented and tested. The BackRider® Belt has an improved product design, with stronger fabric and related materials and with many great features with the emphasis being on comfort and support while being easy to use.
The BackRider® Belt was officially introduced to the world in January 2009 at Motorcycle Shows in both Calgary, Alberta Canada and Edmonton, Alberta Canada with great success, especially due to the fact that the BackRider® Belt is the only product on the market that is known to have successfully passed professional product evaluation engineering tests. These tests were performed in March 2009 in the USA.
